Maritime Academy focuses on teaching maritime flag signaling, which serves as the primary means of communication between ships and shore in addition to radio communication. The app specifically covers flaghoist signaling and operates under the International Code of Signals (ICS). While non-naval vessels adhere to this standardized system, naval vessels use their own set of flags and codes.

Learning Material

Levels and Challenges

Training Types

The app offers three types of training: key, typing, and button.

The Explore screen in Maritime Academy allows users to familiarize themselves with the International Flags and Pennants comprising the English Alphabet's 26 letters, numbers 0-9, and three substitutes. Additionally, users can explore the International Code of Signals, which includes 25 single flag meanings and the 201 most frequently used abbreviations.
