Maritime Academy focuses on teaching maritime flag signaling, which serves as the primary means of communication between ships and shore in addition to radio communication. The app specifically covers flaghoist signaling and operates under the International Code of Signals (ICS). While non-naval vessels adhere to this standardized system, naval vessels use their own set of flags and codes.

The learning content in Maritime Academy progresses from single-flag concepts to multi-flag concepts. This means that users start with letters and numbers, move on to words and substitutes, and finally learn single flag meanings and abbreviations. To successfully pass a challenge, users must make fewer than three mistakes.

Simply clicking on the blocks will provide access to each item.
